Planning for edible gardening during new construction…

We first visited this site as the Lyons family was dialing in their landscape plan during the construction of their new residence. We were able to locate the ideal location for an edible garden in their blank slate and give them recommendations to pass along to their irrigation contractor and general landscape installation team regarding the design of a deer-fenced garden space with annual vegetables and perennial fruits. We then returned the following fall and extended the stubbed up irrigation lines they left us, built raised garden beds, and made recommendations for season extension tools and trellising based on the crop plan we put together. Together, we installed the in-bed drip irrigation lines and planted cold hardy leafy greens and garlic before winter. We launched into 2024 with garden lessons on seed starting. We can’t wait to continue helping guide these new gardeners in bringing their crop plan to life!
