Our current inventory consists of greenhouse varieties that are currently appropriate to plant in greenhouses that are staying above freezing.
Peppers are cold sensitive. We do not recommend planting them in outdoor gardens (even with mini hoophouses) until June. We plan to have more availability at the end of May. Always be prepared with season extension tools like mini hoophouses or walls of water in combination with frost cloth if not growing them in a greenhouse.
Annina: Hybrid. Estimated days to maturity in Central Oregon: 89 - 94 days. Lovely 5-7” striped fruit on upright, spineless plants. Glossy, teardrop shaped fruits are uniform and gorgeous with bright green calyxes. An excellent producer both in the field and in the greenhouse, offering great versatility in production.
Gaudi: Hybrid. Estimated days to maturity in Central Oregon: 79 days. Cookie-cutter uniformity. 6-8” glossy fruits with attractive teardrop shape. Spineless, widely adapted, and stress tolerant. Green calyx.
Orient Express: Hybrid. Estimated days to maturity in Central Oregon: 72 days. The most dependable Asian eggplant. Slender, glossy fruits 8–10" long by 1 1/2–2 1/2" diameter. Ready up to 2 weeks before other early varieties. Sets fruit in cool weather and under heat stress. Tender, delicately flavored, and quick-cooking. Purple calyx.
